Description

We are seeking a dynamic and technically proficient Pre-Sales Consultant with experience in voice, data, SaaS, and cloud technologies (Azure). This role will focus on supporting the sales team by providing expert technical guidance to prospective clients, aligning our solutions with customer needs, and showcasing the value of our offerings. The Pre-Sales Consultant will play a critical role in the sales cycle, acting as a bridge between the technical and sales teams, and ensuring a smooth and efficient sales process.

Responsibilities

Technical Expertise:

Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) in voice, data networking, SaaS solutions, and Microsoft Azure, providing detailed technical guidance and support during pre-sales engagements.

Solution Design:

Work closely with customers and internal sales teams to understand business requirements and design appropriate technical solutions that leverage our voice, data, and cloud (Azure) services.

Product Demonstrations:

Lead product demos, technical presentations, and workshops to articulate the business and technical value of our solutions to prospects and clients.

Proposal Development:

Create detailed technical proposals, statements of work (SOW), and RFP responses that align with customer needs and business goals.

Customer Engagement:

Collaborate with prospective customers to understand their pain points, use cases, and technical environments, ensuring our solutions meet their expectations.

Proof of Concept (PoC):

Plan and execute PoC implementations for prospective customers to demonstrate product capabilities and secure customer buy-in.

Collaboration:

Work closely with product management, engineering, and customer success teams to ensure seamless handoff post-sales and address any technical concerns that arise during the sales cycle.

Market Insight:

Training & Enablement:

Provide technical training and support to internal sales teams to enhance their understanding of the solutions and services offered.

Desired Skills & Experience

Minimum of 5 years in a pre-sales or similar technical consulting role, with a focus on voice, data, SaaS, and cloud technologies.

Technical Skills:

    • Proficient in voice services (VoIP, SIP, PBX, etc.).
    • Deep understanding of data networking (LAN/WAN, MPLS, SD-WAN, etc.).
    • Experience with SaaS platforms and cloud architecture, specifically **Microsoft Azure** (IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS).
    • Familiarity with security and compliance requirements within cloud and telecom environments.

Sales Acumen:

Ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels, including C-suite executives.

Communication:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

Certifications:

Relevant certifications in Azure (e.g., AZ-900, AZ-303/304), networking (e.g., CCNA, CompTIA Network+), or voice technologies are a plus.

Technical Skills:

    • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Strong customer service orientation and attention to detail.
    • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

This role is on-site, based at our office in Knutsford, with the option to shift to a hybrid schedule after successfully completing the probationary period.
